Rainbow Dash |
My daughter is in a full swing addiction to My Little Pony's, the new revamped version. She especially adores Rainbow Dash because she shoots rainbows out her tail.
In keeping with my theme of a "homemade Christmas," I snatched our old rocking horse out of the basement and took to it with some homemade chalk paint. I use Elizabeth & Co.'s recipe for homemade chalk paint and LOVE IT!
Craigslist find: $25 |
the pony came with some ratty, nasty, disgusting hair which was promptly taken out |
Introducing... Rainbow Dash!
cutie mark |
How the tail was put in:
used a hammer and small flat head screwdriver to bust up the wooden plug that held the original tail in place. the tail was as nasty and ratty as the mane |
one of my Top Five favorite household/craft supplies |
The wood glue worked great on the felt mane and tail. Its been given a firm tug and seems to hold fast. Whew!

Great idea! I love that you personalized a standard rocking horse!
